Do you remember wrapping yourself in your favorite blanket—feeling warmth, coziness, and that deep sense of calm wash over you? That feeling is the heart of everything we create here.

Handmade Artistry with a Modern, Luxurious Touch

Seaux Gentilly began with a simple love of crafting and the joy of sharing handmade creations with others. I watched a video one day and thought, “I can do that!”—a phrase my mom says I repeated constantly as a child. Creativity was part of everyday life in our home.

Growing up in New Orleans, my mom and her best friend were inseparable sewing buddies. As we got older and eventually moved to Houston, crafting remained woven into our lives. My mom sewed all of our church dresses (which, admittedly, was not my vibe), but I found my passion in crocheting, floral arrangements, wreath-making, crystal embellishments, tumblers, and now—hand-knitted blankets.

There are many ways to say, “I’m thinking of you,” but creating something handcrafted specifically with someone in mind is an entirely different kind of love. When I began gifting my chunky hand-knit blankets to family and friends, they kept asking,
“Why don’t you add this to your business?”
The opportunity finally arrived in January 2023, after relocating from North Dallas back to Houston to be closer to my mom. Space was tight, so tumblers had to pause—but hand knitting fit perfectly into this new chapter.

The Heart Behind the Name

Seaux Gentilly is a tribute to my roots—my cherished memories with my dad and mom on Metropolitan Street in Gentilly Woods, New Orleans.
Birthday parties. City Park gatherings. Crab boils. Picnics by Lake Pontchartrain. Mardi Gras magic. And Schwegmann’s grocery runs, where we snacked on fresh French bread while my mom shopped.

My heart is still tied to home. And as my siblings love to tease, “You are Seaux New Orleans.”  So, the name came naturally authentic, nostalgic, and true to who I am.

It is my joy to craft hand-knitted blankets and accessories for every occasion—
for you, your family, friends, co-workers, newborns, or even in remembrance and comfort during difficult moments. Whatever your vision is, I’m honored to place something tangible, meaningful, and handmade in your hands.
